Welcome: Our Story and Vision

Hello, and welcome to Green Star Grove! We’re so excited to share the story of our farm and invite you to join us on this incredible journey of growing, creating, and connecting with our community.

Our Mission

To make healthy, local food accessible to more people. We achieve this by embracing sustainable and responsible farming practices that work in harmony with nature. Our focus is on producing food free of synthetic chemicals, using natural methods that enrich soil health, support wildlife, and provide better nutrition for your table.

But our mission goes beyond growing and raising food—we aim to inspire change. By leading with transparency and showing how working with the land, rather than against it, can benefit both people and the environment, we hope to create a lasting impact. Through fresh, high-quality produce and open conversations about farming, we strive to cultivate healthier lifestyles and a deeper connection to the food we eat.

Who We Are

Nestled in the heart of Granbury, Texas, Green Star Grove is a small, family-run farm born out of a deep love for the land and a desire to share its bounty. What started as a dream has grown into 17.5 acres of peaches, chickens, and endless possibilities.

We’re passionate about sustainable farming practices, working hand-in-hand with nature to restore and improve our soil while growing delicious produce and raising happy animals. We implement regenerative farming practices, such as avoiding heavy machinery to minimize soil compaction and planting cover crops to restore soil health naturally. Every decision we make reflects our commitment to quality, care, and community.

What We Do

At Green Star Grove, we focus on a variety of offerings, including:

  • Locally Sourced Honey: Harvested from our 14 beehives, our honey is raw, unfiltered, and packed with natural flavor and nutrients straight from the flowers of our farm and surrounding areas.

  • Fresh Peaches: Grown right here on the farm using natural methods without synthetic chemicals. We use neem oil and copper fungicide for tree health and rely on our pasture-raised chickens to provide natural fertilizer and insect control. Each peach is hand-picked at peak ripeness for maximum flavor and juiciness.

  • Sourdough Bread: Made to order with a traditional fermentation process, including exciting flavors like jalapeño cheddar and cinnamon cream cheese.

  • Eggs: From pasture-raised chickens who each enjoy over 108 square feet of fresh pasture. We move their coop daily and rotate their pasture every two weeks to ensure they have access to fresh forage and a clean environment.

  • Homemade Peach Jam: A little taste of summer in every jar, made with love and peaches from our own trees.

But Green Star Grove is more than just a farm—it’s a vision for building something bigger. We’re creating a space where people can feel connected to their food, their community, and the land.

Why We Started This Blog

We created this blog to share more than just our products—we want to share our journey. From the challenges of restoring overgrown land to the joy of planting new peach trees and caring for our animals, this blog is a way for you to follow along and feel like part of the farm family.

We’ll be writing about:

  • The daily life on the farm (the good, the messy, and the hilarious).

  • Tips on growing your own food and sustainable farming practices.

  • Updates on our products and what’s happening at the Grove.

A Big Thank You

We wouldn’t be here without the support of our amazing community. Whether you’ve already purchased peaches, sourdough, or eggs from us, or you’re simply following along, we’re so grateful for you. Every message, purchase, and word of encouragement fuels our passion and drives us to keep growing—literally and figuratively!

What’s Next?

This is just the beginning. We’re excited to share more about the farm and keep you updated on all the exciting things happening at Green Star Grove. Stay tuned for stories, recipes, behind-the-scenes peeks, and more!

Thank you for joining us on this journey. We’re thrilled to have you here and can’t wait to share the fruits (and bread!) of our labor with you.

Until next time,
Mike & the Green Star Grove Family
